monday finger-lickin’ lovely to you kittens.

katie here.

after an extended period summering in my coastal nantucket clapboard, imprisoned in my house of horrors knowns as raising my toddler; i am elated to be back on the blog, retching forth my torrid ideologies and my {often un-researched and un-asked for} opinions, whereby i raise my fist at what i believe to be wrong, and i norma rae my heart out for what i believe is right; hopefully offering a solution to the problems that plague us all, that keep us sleepless at night and supine on our therapist’s couch. chiefly: who makes the best eye cream and where should you buy it?

last week my girl, my one, my priscilla, she took her last ride on this earthly disco ball, and i had to say goodbye to her after eight years of unadulterated jublilance.

from the second we rescued this pitiful-looking, mangy, bloated, naughty girl with a heart of sparkles, our lives elevated on a daily basis. priscilla lived to “find the FUN“–she was our very own mary poppins–even if the fun sometimes involved distended stomachs, midnight trips to the emergency vet, neighbors threatening to sue us, and banished walks due to arthritic hips; priscilla still lived each moment like it was the greatest day of her life. priscilla only did things that made her blissfully happy, and if she wasn’t having a good time, she’d find a way to get that tail to wag. she’s inspired ME to get my own tail a-waggin again.

so i’m back.

i do have a new big, girl job, so that explains for some of my absence. i’m still with my amazing Grit Cycle family where i teach {3} days a week, but now i also get the DREAM vocation of working closer with Grit’s second-to-none instructors: current, new, in-training, etc. it’s like i get to work with my movie star crushes on a daily basis {leigh being one of them.}

so keep your eyes peeled for us. we’re back with a vengeance, blogging because it’s the right thing to do! in these times of hurricane devastation, terrorism, addiction epidemics and nuclear threats, what’s MOST important is that YOU know which night cream find the most hydrating and brightening.

i’m also here to give my expert parenting advice: for example, you can make them do the dishes at 2 years old.
